The short version: Habit's is a free habit tracker you use in your browser. There is no account to create, no analytics script, no advertising and no server-side database. What you track stays on your own device. This page explains the details in full.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. The app has no sign-up form, no login, no newsletter box and no contact form, so there is no channel through which we receive your name, email address or payment details. The contact page simply opens an email addressed to us; whatever you send is handled by you and your own email provider.
The app stores the following information locally, on your device:
- Your habits — titles, descriptions, icons, reminder times and the days you tick them off.
- Your profile — display name, optional photo, and appearance settings such as theme, font, accent colour and night mode.
- Your preferences — reminder choices and interface settings.
2. Where your data is stored
Everything above is written to your browser's local storage under the keys
habitflow-v2 (your habits) and habitflow-profile-v1 (your
settings). Local storage belongs to the browser profile on the device you are using, and
it is scoped to this website — it is never transmitted to us, because the site is a static
page with no backend to receive it.
You stay in control of a copy at all times. Profile → Your data lets you download a JSON backup of your habits, restore it later, or clear everything. On Chrome and Edge you can also enable automatic file saving, which uses the browser's File System Access API to write changes to a file you choose on your device. The browser asks for your permission before that file is ever touched.
Deleting your habits permanently is simply a matter of clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or using the delete option in the app. Because no copy exists anywhere else, there is nothing left on our side to remove.
3. Third-party requests
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information — IP address, browser user agent and the page requested — for delivery and security purposes, in line with its own privacy policy. Those logs contain no habit data, because the pages delivered to everyone are identical static files.
The stylesheet requests three fonts (Caveat, DM Sans and Special Elite) from Google Fonts. That request sends your IP address to Google. If you would rather avoid it, browser extensions that block font requests will stop it without affecting the app.
Habit's itself loads no analytics, no advertising network, no session-replay tool, no tracking pixel and no third-party cookie. We do not run A/B tests on visitors and we do not fingerprint your device.
4. Notifications
Reminder times use the browser's Notification API. Your browser asks for permission the first time a reminder is scheduled, and notifications are generated on your device — there is no push server involved. You can withdraw permission at any time from your browser's site settings.
5. What we never do
- We do not sell, rent or share data with anyone, because we never receive it.
- We do not build advertising profiles or follow you across other websites.
- We do not read, moderate or publish the habits you record.
- We do not require an email address to use any feature.
6. Retention and deletion
Your data lives for as long as you keep it in your browser. Clearing site data, using the app's delete controls, or removing your backup file removes it. The only records we hold are anonymous hosting logs kept briefly by Cloudflare for security and debugging.
7. Children's privacy
Habit's is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through an email, write to us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase personal data held about you. Since Habit's holds no such data, those rights are exercised directly on your device: export your habits from Profile → Your data, or clear them from your browser. For any question about this policy, email us and we will answer plainly.
9. Changes to this policy
If the way the app handles data ever changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Continued use of the habit tracker after a change means you accept the revised policy; if you do not agree, stop using the site and clear your local data.
